A CHURCH FOR ALL AT THE HEART OF THE COMMUNITY
Transforming Trinity

We're transforming our church building to serve the community of Oadby and to provide for future generations.

The 'Trinity Centre' project aims to develop our ancillary premises with the joint aims of upgrading our facilities and enabling Trinity to become the hub of our community. The re-model of our premises will create additional space, incorporating an extended cafe area, better access, additional toilets, an upgraded kitchen and enhanced facilities in our back rooms.

The changes envisaged will enable the Church to fulfil its ministry to those in the local community, to cater for those organisations which currently meet in the premises, as well as providing additional quality space for expanding church activities. The project represents a commitment to the Christian values of loving one's neighbour by helping the needy, welcoming the stranger, caring for the elderly and educating the young. The development also seeks to raise the profile of the Methodist Church in Oadby, and with its central location the new Trinity Centre will create a public sacred place to breathe vitality into the community.

Specifically, the plans for the project include:

  • An extended cafe area
This will treble the capacity of our existing church lounge and be open to the community throughout the week. A new kitchen, designed to modern commercial standards, will be built allowing the cafe to serve quality meals and refreshment services.

  • A redeveloped, welcoming frontage
  • The new frontage is designed to be attractive, open and welcoming for shoppers and businesses and the cafe will become a prominent feature of Oadby's central car park. The facilities will be fully accessibile by all church family and visitors.

  • A church open throughout the week
  • We aim to introduce a midweek service for shoppers, workers and our own members each Wednesday lunchtime. Additionally, we hope to have the sanctuary open and staffed each day, providing a "safe space" for conversation and prayer.

  • Enhanced facilities for the church and community
  • Our own groups and community users will benefit from our improved facilities which will be of a suitable standard for professional and other user groups, including conferences. The development will make our premises more eco-friendly and suitable for the demands of the 21st century.
Upgrade of our existing Church Lounge

Please help us to realise our vision...

Invite friends and neighbours to our events, or give literature to people who may be willing to support the Trinity Centre project.
  • Giving
Donations to the project can be made in a variety of ways, including regular giving or by providing an interest-free loan. See the leaflet Help us to Transform Trinity for further details.
  • Praying
